The Red Pepper Grill is a family-owned restaurant. I, Mario Gurrola, had already spent 17 years at this restaurant, starting as assistant to the cook and working up the head chef, when the owner offered to sell it to me and my brother, Rafael. We jumped on this opportunity to continue the Red Pepper Grill commitment to serving the finest fresh Mexican cuisine to friends and neighbors and our extended customer base. We pledge to carry on that tradition in this community of customers that feels like our family.


I have had experience at other restaurants as cook and wait staff, so I know the entire restaurant business.  Additionally, I spent three years as a union construction worker, so I know how to treat employees to create loyalty.  At Red Pepper Grill we promote from within to build a staff that takes pleasure in serving because they are respected and esteemed by us as another branch of our family. 

We can serve up 70 customers at any time in an intimate setting of tables and booths, with a small patio for the beautiful California weather. 

Our menu includes a selection of Mexican/Californian fare at reasonable prices, with a good selection of domestic and imported beers and wines.  Our daily specials, based on seasonal “mariscos” (seafood), are cooked in a variety of presentations.  Portions are always generous.
